Ulumbu Hot Spring
Description
Ulumbu covers an immense area with warm grounds, boiling water flowing from different small caves, massive steam pillars rising from fumaroles and vapors dominating the scenery of the geothermal field, which creates a scene of particular natural attraction. The geothermal field is considered a promising energy resource and a geothermal power plant operates there. Some spots in the area are extremely hot and there is a danger of andslides; please ask local people for guidance.
How to get there: Drive from Ruteng towards Golo Lusang, proceed to Iteng and Wewo village and make a turn at Pong Geok junction toward Ulumbu. This is a distance of approximately ± 26.5km.
