Ulumbu

Ulumbu adalah sumber mata air panas yang terletak di Kecamatan Satar Mese,  Kabupaten Manggarai. Ulumbu memiliki kepulan asap serta air panas yang keluar dari perut bumi. Kekayaan alam inilah yang membuat Ulumbu dijadikan sebagai tujuan wisata. Selain sebagai tujuan wisata, Ulumbu juga sudah dijadikan sebagai sumber listrik tenaga uap bagi seluruh masyarakat di Pulau Flores. Beberapa aktivitas ketika tiba di tempat ini ialah jalan- jalan sambil melihat kepulan asap yang keluar dari perut bumi dan melihat keindahan pemandangan pegunungan, sawah dan perkebunan kopi di sekitarnya. Disarankan untuk para pengunjung agar berhati hati saat berjalan di sekitar areal Ulumbu karena luapan air panas yang sangat berbahaya.

Ulumbu terletak di ketinggian 668 mdpl dan berada di Desa Wewo Kecamatan Satar Mese Kabupaten Manggarai. Untuk menuju Ulumbu, pengunjung cukup menghabiskan waktu 45 menit berkendara dari Ruteng dengan jarak tempuh sejauh 25 km melewati Hutan Golo Lusang ke arah selatan kota Ruteng

Ulumbu is a hot spring located in Satar Mese District, Manggarai Regency. Ulumbu has smoke billowing from it and hot water gushing out from the earth’s core. It is this natural wealth that has made Ulumbu a tourist destination. In addition to being a tourist destination, Ulumbu has also been used as a source of steam power for the entire community on the island of Flores. Some activities to do when you arrive at this place are walking around while watching the smoke billowing from the earth’s core and admiring the beautiful scenery of the mountains, rice fields, and coffee plantations around it. Visitors are advised to be careful when walking around the Ulumbu area because of the very dangerous hot water overflow.
Ulumbu is located at an altitude of 668 meters above sea level in Wewo Village, Satar Mese District, Manggarai Regency. To get to Ulumbu, visitors only need to spend 45 minutes driving from Ruteng, covering a distance of 25 km through the Golo Lusang Forest to the south of Ruteng.
